In both her positions as president of Immaculate Heart College and Mother General of the IHMs, Caspary encouraged and supported nationally known artist and anti-Vietnam activist Sister Corita Kent. Caspary wrote, “Corita was dearly loved by the Sisters, even more during the renewal, she had been a leader in the new thinking and brought a spirit of joy and playfulness to the chapter delegates.” (IHM Archives, Caspary Collection)
